Sunday School Theme: Words of Wonder
Sunday School is joyfully provided each Sunday during the school year (August-May) at Calvary Lutheran Church for ages birth-13 years old to assist parents in strengthening their children’s faith in Jesus.
Who can attend?
Children of all ages are welcome to attend. We have classes for ALL ages: birth through 8th grade/ 13 years old as part of our Family Bible Hour.
What is involved?
Each Sunday the children have:
o Music time
o Bible Story time
o Craft and/or extracurricular activities
Each month the children will have:
o An opportunity to sing praises of thanks to Jesus, their Savior from sin. Once a month the children’s choir leads their own hymn during the worship service. Children are also encouraged to participate in singing within the weekly service.
o Once a year on Christmas Eve the children will lead the evening service with hymns and verses from scripture.
Where do they meet?
At approximately 10:30am, families meet in the church sanctuary for a Sunday School opening: devotion with Pastor and singing their monthly hymn. After, they will go with their teachers to their classrooms. Parents can pick up their children from the classrooms at the end of Family Bible Hour at 11:30am.
What do parents do during Sunday School?
While the child(ren) are in Sunday School, parents are encouraged to strengthen their faith and attend Bible Class.
"Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, because the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14 EHV
