Maundy Thursday Service

Maundy Thursday is one of the most intimate and meaningful moments of Holy Week. Before the cross, before the empty tomb, Jesus gathered with His disciples around a simple table. He broke bread, poured wine, washed weary feet, and gave a new commandment to love one another as He had loved them. Everything about that night pointed to the heart of God, a love willing to serve, to sacrifice, and to give completely.

Our Maundy Thursday service is an invitation to step into that sacred story. In a world that moves fast and speaks loud, this evening creates space to slow down and remember. Through Scripture, worship, and Communion, we will reflect on the depth of Christ’s humility and the gift He placed into the hands of His followers. The table of the Last Supper reminds us that faith is not only believed, it is received, shared, and lived.

The word Maundy comes from Jesus’ command to His disciples, to love one another. That command still shapes the church today. As we gather, we are reminded that the Christian life is marked by service, forgiveness, and grace. The bread and the cup draw us back to the center of our faith, to the selfless love that carried Jesus to the cross for the sake of the world.

Whether this is a familiar tradition or something new to you, we invite you to join us for this holy evening. Come with whatever you are carrying, questions, gratitude, weariness, or hope. There is room at the table for you. Together we will prepare our hearts for Good Friday and Easter morning, walking the path that leads from the upper room to the resurrection.
