Our Lutheran confirmation class Chandler AZ is a two-year faith formation journey that prepares young people to affirm their baptism and become full members of Calvary Lutheran. At Calvary Church, we believe Confirmation is an important milestone in a young person’s journey of faith. It’s a time of deepening understanding, personal commitment, and growing closer to God and His Word.
Who Can Join?
Our Confirmation program is designed for students in 7th and 8th grades. These are formative years when young people begin to ask big questions and we’re here to explore those questions together.
When and Where?
Classes are held as part of a two-year series on Sunday mornings at 11:30 AM, right after Bible Study and Sunday School.
What to Expect
Over the course of the program, students will:
- Learn the basics of the Lutheran faith through scripture, catechism, and discussion
- Explore the meaning of Baptism, Communion, and living out one’s faith
- Build relationships with peers and mentors within the church

What Is Lutheran Confirmation?
Lutheran Confirmation is a rite of passage rooted in the teachings of Martin Luther. Through the Luther’s Small Catechism, students study the Ten Commandments, the Apostles’ Creed, the Lord’s Prayer, and the sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion. Our two-year Confirmation program meets on Sunday mornings at 11:30 AM and is open to students in 7th and 8th grade.
