A FREE Week of Bible, Fun, and Faith
Vacation Bible School (VBS) at Calvary Lutheran Church in Chandler, AZ is one of the most exciting weeks of the summer for children! Each year, families from across the East Valley gather for a week of Bible stories, worship songs, crafts, games, and fellowship centered on the Good News of Jesus Christ. Vacation Bible School at Calvary is completely free and open to all children in our community.
Our program is designed to help children discover the joy of knowing Jesus in a safe, welcoming, and high-energy environment. Whether your child is brand new to church or has been attending for years, VBS gives every kid a place to belong, learn, and grow in faith.
What Is VBS at Calvary?
Vacation Bible School is a week-long summer program for children in Kindergarten through 6th grade. Each day is packed with age-appropriate Bible lessons, high-energy worship songs, creative crafts, exciting games, and delicious snacks. Our trained volunteer leaders create a joyful, Christ-centered atmosphere where every child feels welcomed and loved.
VBS at Calvary follows a different theme each year, but the message is always the same: Jesus loves you, and you are part of His family. Past themes have explored God’s creation, the stories of the Old Testament, the miracles of Jesus, and the adventure of living by faith.
What to Expect Each Day
Bible Lessons
Each day focuses on a core Bible truth taught through storytelling, scripture, and discussion, with lessons designed for different age groups.
Worship Music
Kids learn upbeat, faith-filled songs together every morning, building a love for singing and praise from an early age.
Crafts and Games
Hands-on crafts and outdoor games reinforce the daily Bible theme while letting kids move, create, and connect with new friends.
Snacks and Fellowship
Every session includes themed snacks and plenty of time for kids to build friendships in a warm, welcoming environment.
Who Can Attend VBS?
VBS at Calvary Lutheran is open to all children entering Kindergarten through 6th grade. No church membership is required. We warmly welcome children from across Chandler, Gilbert, Tempe, Mesa, and the surrounding East Valley communities.
When Is VBS?
VBS is held each summer, typically in June or July. Sessions run Monday through Friday, morning hours. Check our website or contact us for this year’s specific dates and registration details.
